Laughing with Lubar
I had the unforgettable opportunity to listen to David Lubar at a conference one year. He is as entertaining in person as he is in writing. Lubar is a gifted writer that tackles reading audiences from elementary to high school. If you are not sure you want to come to LCT this year I would recommend picking up a few of Lubar's books that exemplify this years theme "The Joy of Reading". Laughing through the pages of a book makes for a pleasant pastime and not every teen book needs to be filled with angst!
My recommendations: "Invasion of the Road Weenies", "Battle of the Red Hot Pepper Weenies", "Hidden Talents" and "Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie".
